Our Story

Timeout Tavern opened in 2025 at 1750 Divisadero Street, the former home of the San Francisco Athletic Club. For more than a decade, this address has been the city’s go-to spot for game days, cold beer, and community spirit.

When the club closed its doors after 11 years, restaurateur Michael Najjar (owner of Fish & Farm) stepped in to carry the torch. With 28 big screens, a lively bar, and a neighborhood-first mindset, Timeout Tavern keeps the sports-bar tradition alive while adding fresh energy, new flavors, and events that bring people together.

Timeout Tavern is more than a bar - It’s where the city comes to celebrate every touchdown, every buzzer-beater, and every night out with friends.
